It’s time to lay it on the line and cut the crap.
If we want to enjoy work more and stop dysfunctional behaviour and communication then it’s time to do something about it.
There is no point thinking I read / wrote a blog post about that once and then letting the moment pass.
So I’m going to attack today with a positive attitude and practice what I preach.
Here’s the cut the crap checklist:
Be brave.
Speak your mind.
Treat other people as human beings.
Be honest and tell the truth.
Make someone smile.
Show some humility.
Say thank you.
Stop waiting for other people to change. You cannot control other people, but you can control yourself and change your own behavior.
Lead by example.
Be the person you want to be.
Show your colleagues what better looks like.
With this in mind I can’t wait to get to work today.
Today is the day to stop being dysfunctional.
To stop collaborating with the corporate bullshit that goes on around us. To stop hiding behind our PC’s. To stop wishing we had taken the opportunity and said something when we had the chance.
To stop reading and start doing.
